Following great results in the 2002 E-commerce Awards, when Imaginet's Wales Direct won the regional finals of the E-Business category, the Cardiff based web solutions agency has three websites short-listed in this year's finals too.
The 2003 national E-Commerce Awards (www.ecommerce-awards.co.uk) are run by UK online for business, a partnership between Industry and Government, which promotes the use of information and communication technologies to small companies, and by InterForum, a not for profit membership organisation that helps British businesses to trade electronically.
The awards have been designed to recognise and reward those organisations that have demonstrated excellence through the use of the Internet and other Information & Communications Technologies and Imaginet has been able to do just that.
The short-listed websites are:
- North York Moors National Park, an e-government and tourism website promoting and educating visitors about conservation in the National Park
- Fathersdirect.com, the highly acclaimed charity that exists to support the welfare of children by the positive and active involvement of fathers and male carers in their lives, has also been short-listed for an award.
- Wales Direct, an on-line shop selling a range of Welsh gifts to an International audience in the E-Trading category once again
- Arts4Cardiff, which is a free on-line listings and information service for the arts and entertainment in Cardiff, devised by Cardiff Arts Marketing, short-listed in Voluntary and Community category
The whole team at Imaginet are delighted with the news and Nigel Roberts, Imaginet’s Managing Director, commented:
"This is great news for Imaginet and only strengthens our position as Wales’ most acclaimed and dynamic web solutions agency. We’ve worked hard to ensure that all our designs, technical innovations and project management processes are second to none and I’m convinced that this success will continue."
The regional Awards ceremonies are scheduled between the 9th and 19th September across the country.
